Quilt and patchwork project samples!
The Cheer Quilt project is going to see - hopefully - a huge wedge of Thanet residents quilt-making this spring.
To have a good idea of the best way to share these processes with the community, it’s important to know how to do make quilts in different ways, to see what they look like, and to know how different materials and techniques react according to skill level and time available to make them.
Below are a few examples of some of the samples that Zoe has been producing at her Margate studio in order to pair the techniques with the community groups who will use them to make quilts.
They include over-dyeing patchwork, strip-quilting, foundation paper piecing, scrap patchwork, english paper piecing & tie quilting with clothing.
